Lakeland Slate & Granite Memorials
Here at Lakeland Slate Memorials we aim to supply memorials produced to a high standard of workmanship using the best quality materials.
Care is taken throughout the design, production and fitting process to ensure a finished memorial that once fitted will provide an everlasting tribute to your loved ones.
We operate from a small workshop in the heart of the lakes where you are welcome to call in to see a small display of memorials and ask us any questions.
Having been a member of the British Register of Memorial Masons (BRAMM) for several years we can ensure that all our fitting and fixing is carried out to the highest level in accordance to the British Standard.

Expert Craftsmanship
All our slate memorials are engraved in the traditional style whereby the letters are v-cut deep into the stone, ensuring inscriptions are crisp, clear and will last a lifetime.
Finest Quality Slate
All our slate is sourced locally in the Lake District. Lakeland slate is renowned for its resistance to weather and does not encourage mosses or lichens.

Slate Memorials
Lakeland Slate Memorials is proud to produce hand crafted memorials to meet your needs. The slate is collected direct from the Lakeland fell quarries as "clogs" before being cut and shaped in the workshop.
The Westmorland slate was formed over 450 million years ago from compressed volcanic ash, enriched with the mineral Chlorite giving it the famous green shade which varies greatly meaning every memorial made is unique.
Granite Memorials
We are able to offer granite memorials made from the highest-grade stone available, sourced from the UK's top suppliers.
The granite stones are available in many shapes and colours with several design options. All granite inscriptions are available in either sandblasted, machine or hand cut.
Alternate Memorials
As well as memorials we also offer cremation plaques, grave vases and slate wedges for inscription.
We can create bespoke pieces to your exact specifications, ensuring a fitting tribute that meets your personal requirements.
Pet Memorials
We are also able to supply personalised memorials for your cherished companions.
From small plaques and headstones, or an engraved cross we can offer a sympathetic and tasteful memorial befitting your loved animal.
